The office for social service offers the following services:
Financial support
Those who don’t have an income of their own or financial support exceeding a certain amount set by the local council may get temporary help — financial social aid or a loan.

This service is given to all who live in the municipality, except asylum seekers.
Housing.
Individuals who have no place to live or have difficulties in finding such a place are offered help.

Alcohol and drug abuse.
Advice and councelling.
Follow-up treatment.
Help to get treatment.
Preventative measures.
This service is given to all who live in the municipality.
Asylum seekers have their own service administered by the Asylum Center.
Family councelling
Advice and councelling in matters of marriage and children
Mediation according to law about marriage
This service is given to all who live in the municipality, except asylum seekers.
